Financial Aid
Because Tennessee School of Beauty is nationally accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences, students accepted for admission are eligible for financial aid through programs established by Federal Government under the Aid to Education Arts. Some of these programs are listed below:
Federal Student Aid (Pell Grant)
Grants provide money to help students further their education after High School. For many students, these grants provide a "foundation" of financial aid, to which aid from other federal sources may be added. Unlike loans, grants do not have to be repaid.
Student Loans
Students attending TSB may apply for low interest-rate loans. Although Stafford Loans are not available, loans may be obtained through the SLM Corporation (888-272-5543). Visit or call the school's financial aid office for more information.
Rehabilitation Service
If you have, or have had, a physical or emotional disability, please contact Rehab Services for possible financial assistance. They can be reached at 865-594-6060. Ask to speak with a counselor.
Veterans Benefits
Tennessee School of Beauty has met the standards set forth by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission and the veterans Administration, and is now an eligible institution for Veterans Benefits. Eligible students should contact the VA office.
Other Aid Programs
Other Federal Programs are available to those who are welfare recipients, or the dependants of such recipients, to those whose family financial ability does not provide sufficient funds for training; and to underprivileged and minority groups. Many other Education Aid Programs are presently under consideration by Congress. As these Aid Programs become available, we will be established as eligible institutions for participation by applicants and students attending our school.
